How Treehope Travel came to be

Natasha Hope

Hi, I’m Natasha – mother, adventurer, and founder of Treehope Travel. Here’s a little about the journey that shaped me, my passion for travel, and how it led me here!

How Treehope Came To Be

My first big adventure – backpacking across Asia and Australia in my early 20s – was life-changing. It healed me, energised me, and gave me an appetite for life that’s never faded. Those travels introduced me to yoga, deepened my connection to nature, and sparked a passion for protecting this planet. They also taught me to approach the world with curiosity, gratitude, and an open heart – values at the core of Treehope Travel.

Giving back has always been central to my journey, and I’ve been involved in several incredible volunteering projects – both in the UK and overseas. From working with children in Nepal, supporting the homeless in Dorset, volunteering with elephants in Sri Lanka, to organising fundraising events for charities, including tree-planting initiatives and campaigns against plastic pollution, each project has shaped who I am. Volunteering has brought me purpose, connection, and a greater zest for life. Through Treehope, I’m excited to extend my involvement and support for community projects.

Since my first encounter with travel in the 90s, Nepal has become central to my life. Both my children (now in their 20s) are half Nepali, and the country holds a special place in my heart. Over the years, I’ve explored remote villages, stunning landscapes, and vibrant culture, discovering hidden gems beyond the usual tourist trails. From trekking the Himalayas to building lasting bonds with local communities, I’ve gained a deep understanding of this incredible country. With Treehope, I’m excited to share that knowledge through immersive, small-group trips rooted in respect for the local way of life.

My journey as a travel agent has shaped the trips I design, from cycling 500 km across Sri Lanka to trekking the Alps and witnessing Norway’s fjords and northern lights. Connecting with conservation projects such as Shark Guardian in Thailand and SLWCS in Sri Lanka deepened my understanding of sustainable travel. While our primary focus is bespoke trips to Nepal, we continue to collaborate with trusted partners to offer diverse, responsible, and community-focused travel experiences through our agency.

Treehope Travel is the culmination of my experiences, passions, and belief in the transformative power of travel. I’m thrilled to help others explore Nepal and beyond in a way that’s personal, meaningful, and sustainable.
