Tree planting initiatives

Committed to reforestation, we partner with Oblong Trees to plant globally, offset carbon, and build a community dedicated to restoring our planet.

In 2024 we set up a GoFund me tree planting initiative in Banepa Nepal.

Nepal - Empowering community through sport

Our commitment to community development includes sponsoring a small futsal club - nurturing young talent, promoting teamwork, whilst benefitting mental and physical health.

Advocating Women and Green Living Through Cycling - Kathmandu

We support and advocate for an initiative in Kathmandu that has taught over 4,000 women cycling, promoting empowerment, sustainability, equality, and community impact.

Eat Local, Trek Sustainably

We encourage our guests to enjoy local food during their trip, not only for the immersive cultural experience but also for the positive impact it has on the environment. Eating locally reduces the need for extra transport and imported ingredients, lowering overall fuel consumption.

While some teahouses offer a variety of meals, local dishes are prepared using traditional ingredients and methods, requiring less fuel and resources. These meals are often the same as those prepared for guides and staff, making them a sustainable, nutritional and practical choice for trekkers.

By choosing local dishes, you help support the community, minimize waste, and contribute to a more sustainable experience. Plus, it's a great way to connect with the local culture and enjoy the flavours of the region!
